Lukoil’s oil mine collapses in Komi, 109 miners remain inside
MOSCOW, Sep 14 (PRIME) -- The Yareganeft oil mine belonging to oil major Lukoil collapsed in Russia’s Komi Republic on Thursday, 109 miners remain underground, a source in the republic’s emergency services told PRIME.
“Under preliminary data, one miner is under rubble. A total of 109 people were in the oil mine at the moment of the accident,” the source said.
Lukoil confirmed the incident and said its reasons were being investigated.
